AS Cittadella was formed after a merger of US Cittadellense and AS Olympia in 1973. The club grew into a stable series B club after the recent turn of the century. In this Jersey , the club played its very first season in the Serie B. One of the Italian club's strikers was Stefano Ghirardello, this lovely longsleeve shirt was worn by him. Ghirardello broke through in professional football with Hellas Verona and joined Cittadella in the year 2000. He scored 23 goals for the club in two seasons, after which he made a transfer to Siena. He later played for Como and Genoa, among others.
