Manchester United’s 2002–03 season under Sir Alex Ferguson saw the club reclaim the Premier League title, their 8th in 11 years, finishing five points clear of Arsenal after overturning an eight‑point deficit in March. The campaign was defined by the prolific form of Ruud van Nistelrooy, who scored 25 league goals and 44 in all competitions, including a decisive run of strikes in the title race. United also reached the League Cup final, losing 2–0 to Liverpool, and were eliminated in the FA Cup fifth round by Arsenal.
