After the great success in the previous season by winning the Scottish Cup, Dundee United could not repeat this in the 1994-1995 season. Dundee ended 10th in the Premier League and were relegated. The next season they wore the same shirt in the second division and managed to get back in the Premier League via play-offs after finishing 2nd.
