In the 1984–85 season, Torino Calcio delivered one of their strongest campaigns in recent memory, finishing second in Serie A behind champions Hellas Verona. Under manager Luigi Radice, the team was revitalized by the arrival of Brazilian playmaker Leo Júnior, whose creativity and leadership helped drive Torino’s resurgence. Aldo Serena led the scoring in the league with 9 goals, while the team also reached the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia. A memorable highlight was their dramatic 2–1 derby win over Juventus, sealed by Serena’s injury-time goal.
