An immense cool pattern on this beautiful '90s Northern Ireland Jersey. The shirt also features beautiful classic Umbro details, such as the stripes on the neat collar. In the 1950s already, little Northern Ireland achieved a World Cup victory. Wins over Italy and Portugal allowed Norn Iron to reach the quarterfinals of the 1958 World Cup, unfortunately losing to the French. The absolute highlight of the Northern Ireland team is probably the fact that legend George Best starred in the Northern Ireland team. This legend won the 1968 European Cup I and was also voted Europe's best player. Unfortunately, this star never got to play in a World Cup with the Northern Ireland team. The Northern Ireland team did manage to make it to the 1982World Cup in Spain, winning against Portugal and Sweden in the Qualifying Group. The first match was a draw against Honduras. The highlight was Norman Whiteside's debut as the youngest player at a World Cup, taking the record away from Pele. After a draw against the Yugoslavians, the Northern Irish managed to beat host Spain with 10 men in Valencia. Unfortunately, they did not make it past the second round of the World Cup. Four years later they also participated in the World Cup 86in Mexico. After this World Cup, the Northern Irish never played in another World Cup. But who knows, they still have a bright future ahead of them.
