The 1995–1996 season was a challenging but memorable one for Feyenoord. Playing at the iconic De Kuip in Rotterdam, the team faced early turbulence, with Willem van Hanegem being replaced as coach by Geert Meijer (interim) and then Arie Haan in October. Despite the upheaval, Feyenoord finished 3rd in the Eredivisie, reached the semi-finals of the KNVB Cup, and made it to the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup semi-finals. Ronald Koeman was the standout player, scoring 14 goals across all competitions. Highlights included big European wins, especially against Borussia Mönchengladbach, where 14,000 fans traveled to cheer the team on. While the season ended without trophies, it showcased Feyenoord’s resilience and the passionate support of their fans.
