Chievo Verona was founded in 1929 and had its high points after the most recent turn of the century, in which the club debuted in the Serie A and between 2001 and 2019 failed to perform at the highest Italian level for only one season. In 2004, the club managed the fourth spot in the Serie A, after which the club played preliminary rounds of the Champions League. All this while in 2000 the club still had to be content with 15th place in the B series. One of the players that season was defender Giuseppe Aquaro, wearing number 17. Verona, where, incidentally, he had already played with a youth team. He had a contract with Chievo until 2005, after which he made the move back to his homeland. The tall central defender played in several countries and even featured in the UEFA Europa League during his time with CSKA Sofia.
