Before 15,085 fans, Aberdeen's Hans Gillhaus scored the only goal in the 12th minute, securing a 1-0 win for the League XI. This marked the end of an era for a team that had showcased Scotland's finest football talents, making the commemorative shirt from this match a true collector's treasure.
