AC Milan played a rock-solid season in the 1992-93season under Fabio Capello's management. The first success that season took place as early as 30 August 1992when, thanks to goals by Van Basten and Massaro, Milan beat Parma mer 2-1to win the Supercoppa. I Rossoneri would become champions of Italy that season with only two losses. Incidentally, that season also saw the first season of the UEFA Champions League. AC Milan reached the final but lost 1-0 vam Marseille.
