Brøndby IF’s 1995–96 season was a triumphant chapter in Danish football. Under the guidance of manager Ebbe Skovdahl, the club clinched its sixth Danish championship, finishing top of the Superliga with 67 points from 33 matches. Their attacking style produced 71 goals, while a solid defense conceded just 32, giving them a dominant +39 goal difference. The team also made waves in Europe, reaching the Round of 16 in the UEFA Cup. After eliminating Lillestrøm and famously beating Liverpool 1–0 at Anfield, Brøndby fell to AS Roma in a hard-fought tie. Domestically, they were backed by strong home support, averaging over 11,000 fans per match at Brøndby Stadion. The squad blended experience and youth, with standout performances from striker Peter Møller, who scored 15 league goals, and rising star Ebbe Sand, who added 12. Midfield maestro Ole Bjur provided creativity and leadership throughout the campaign.
