FC Utrecht is a Dutch football club that together with the traditional Dutch Top 3 (Feyenoord, Ajax and PSV) has never been relegated from the Dutch Eredivisie. It was also the first club not belonging to the traditional top 3 to win the Johan Cruyff Schaal, the Dutch SuperCup. In 2004, FC Utrecht managed to beat Ajax's Wesley Sneijder (who is one of the club's biggest fans, but did not play there), Van der Vaart and Ibrahimovic 4-2 in their own stadium. Thanks to two goals by midfielder Hans Somers in the 87th and 90th minute. The club has a relatively short history, since it was founded in 1970. FC Utrecht originated from a merger of Elinkwijk, Dos and Velox. The club had a turbulent history with financial problems. But nowadays FC Utrecht is a stable factor in the Dutch sub top. Unfortunately, the club has not yet been able to celebrate a Dutch championship, although Utrecht did win the Dutch Cup in 1985, 2003 and 2004.
