The Magpies were very successful in '93-'94 season by finishing 3rd suprisingly! They participated in the UEFA Cup next season due to this result. The young Andy Cole and good old Beardsley produced a total of 55 goals this season in the Premier League. In all competitions, Cole produced 41 goals and won the Young player of the year award.
