Valencia enjoyed a hugely successful season in 2004, celebrating the Spanish championship and winning the UEFA Cup. The latter led to Valencia winning the UEFA Supercup at the start of the 05-06 season at the expense of Champions League winner Porto. In that season, Valencia had Dutch top striker Patrick Kluivert. Kluivert previously played for Ajax, AC Milan and Barcelona. The 79-time international played one season at Valencia before returning home where he went on to play for PSV.
