Rob Maas played in the youth academy of Eindhoven club PSV. The Eindhoven native did not break through at PSV and made the move to RKC waalwijk and later to top team Feyenoord Rotterdam, where he did find his place on the pitch. After three good seasons at Feyenoord, he made a foreign move to Arminia Bielefeld. There he played two good seasons, after which he would play for Herta BSC for another five years. He ended his career at the club where he also broke through, namely RKC Waalwijk. Nowadays, he is an assistant coach at his first love PSV Eindhoven.
