At the conclusion of the 2001/2002season, Arsenal FC secured their second Premier League title, finishing with 87points and a 7-point lead over Liverpool. This marked their 12th national title in club history. Arsenal's success was largely attributed to an unbeaten run of 21games, which commenced on December 23, 2001. Thierry Henry emerged as the league's top scorer with 24goals, earning his first Premier League Golden Boot, while Freddie Ljungberg was voted player of the year and Arsène Wenger received the coach of the year accolade. In addition to the league triumph, Arsenal clinched the FA Cup. However, their journey in the League Cup was cut short in the fifth round by Blackburn Rovers, who went on to win the secondary cup later in the season.
