In the late 90s there was a noteworthy delegation of Dutchmen in Barcelona. Barca was managed by the well-known coach Louis van Gaal, assisted by the then still young trainer Jose Mourinho. A second assistant to Van Gaal was the trainer of the Catalans, Ronald Koemen. Not the least Dutch players were present in the players' group either. The Dutch drew Finnish striker Litmanen from Ajax to Barca.
