Juventus played in this kappa jersey in the early 1980s. After the old lady won the Italian championship in 1980 and in 1981, expectations were high for the 1982-83 season. With top scorer Michel Platini, Juventus reached the final of the Europe Cup I in Athens in 1983. Opponent Hamburg took a 1-0 lead early in the match, this also remained the final score, causing Juventus to narrowly miss out on the European Cup.
