Croats have not always had the credit they deserve, but mate what a great football nation this is! With the breakup of Yugoslavia, the Croatian national team was created in 1990. FIFA and UEFA did not recognize them until 1992. Their first appearance at an international tournament was at the Euro'96 where they made it straight to the quarterfinals, but were defeated 2-1 by the Germans. Two years later, Croatia showed the world in this Jersey that they are a serious football team when they delivered a stellar performance at the 98 World Cup. In the quarterfinals of this World Cup they took revenge on the Germans by beating them 3-0. In the Semi Finals they lost to Zidane's France. They did beat the Dutch team of Bergkamp, Seedorf and Kluivert in the consolation final, which was a bronze medal. Croatia showed that despite their size they are capable of much.
