Fiorentina played for 55 years at the highest level when this came to an end in 1993. Fiorentina finished 16th in Serie A and relegated to Serie B. The purple club managed to keep the best players on board, thanks to help from the wealthy Cecchi Gori family. This eventually resulted in Fiorentina becoming champions of Serie B with relative ease and the Florence team quickly regaining the better positions in Serie A in the 1990s. We were able to obtain a set of match worn jerseys including these 7 rare 1993-1994 match worn friendly shirts, which were actually never worn during an official game. The shirts are most likely worn by:
- #2 Daniele Carnasciali
- #3 Gianluca Luppi
- #5Pasquale Bruno
- #6 Alberto Malusci
- #7 Giovanni Tedesco
- #8 Stefan Effenberg
- #10 Massimo Orlando
Furthermore, two other very special shirts are shown directly achieved after a match: Match worn Rui Costa & Francesco Baiano.
The Jerseys were manufactured by the German brand Uhlsport, which was founded in 1948 by Karl Uhl. Initially, the brand made leather studs for football boots, shin guards and footballs. The brand supplied Fiorentina with shirts during the two seasons from 1993 to 1995. The famous 7up sponsored the club from 1992 to 1994.
