On June 17, 1990, South Korea took on Spain at the Stadio Friuli in Udine. The South Koreans fell behind after just over twenty minutes, but equalized just before halftime. Eventually, the Spaniards made the 2-1 and the 3-1 in the second half, defeating the Koreans. In the end, Korea did not advance beyond the Group Stage either.
