Tottenham Hotspur was founded on September 5, 1882, in the London borough of Tottenham. Between 1985 and 1991, Tottenham played in Jerseys by Danish brand Hummel. Hummel was founded in 1923 by a Hamburg-based company. In 1975, the company was bought by its Danish importer. Today, Hummel is based in Aarhus and still among the largest manufacturers of football apparel.
