On June 17, 1990, South Korea took on Spain at the Stadio Friuli in Udine. The South Koreans fell behind after just over twenty minutes, but equalized just before halftime. Eventually, the Spaniards made the 2-1 and the 3-1 in the second half, defeating the Koreans. In the end, Korea did not advance beyond the Group Stage either.
Attacker Lee Tae-ho played his entire career with Daewoo Royals, appearing in action more than 170 times and scoring more than 50 goals. He also came to 80 international matches for South Korea.
