Following their cup victory, Antwerp qualified for the 1992/93 European Cup Winners' Cup, where they reached the final. They faced Italy's Parma AC at Wembley Stadium, but lost 3-1. The club also faced ongoing issues with their stadium, including closures in August 1995 due to roof instability, and further closures in the following years, with a third occurring at the end of 1997.
