For the last two seasons in the 1990s, the Portuguese played in this classic Nike Jersey. The Portuguese have had a partnership with Nike since 1997. This jersey was worn by a youth team of the Portuguese. This can be recognised, among other things, by the lack of the Nike Patch. The Portuguese managed to reach the semi-finals at the European Championship in 2000, but were eliminated by Henry and Zidane's France.
