Arsenal’s 2013–14 season under Arsène Wenger was defined by a strong title push, a mid‑season collapse, and the long‑awaited end of the club’s trophy drought. After losing 1–3 to Aston Villa on opening day, Arsenal surged to the top of the Premier League and spent more days in first place than any other team, driven by the arrival of Mesut Özil, the breakout form of Aaron Ramsey, and the goals of Olivier Giroud. Heavy defeats to Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea derailed their title challenge, and injuries to key players further slowed momentum. Arsenal ultimately finished 4th, securing another Champions League qualification.

The season’s defining moment came in the FA Cup, where Arsenal beat Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and Wigan before winning a dramatic 3–2 final vs Hull City, ending a nine‑year wait for silverware. In Europe, Arsenal reached the Champions League Round of 16 but were eliminated by Bayern Munich. Overall, 2013–14 is remembered as the year Arsenal rediscovered belief, star power and a trophy-winning edge.
