Juventus’ 1992–93 season under Giovanni Trapattoni was turbulent in Serie A but unforgettable in Europe. In the league, Juve finished 4th, inconsistent and often streaky despite the brilliance of Roberto Baggio, who scored 21 league goals and 30 in all competitions. New signings Andreas Möller and Gianluca Vialli added quality — Möller immediately became a key creative force, while Vialli struggled to match his Sampdoria form. Domestic cups brought near misses: Juve reached the Coppa Italia semi‑finals, falling to Torino.
Europe was a different story. Juventus produced one of the greatest UEFA Cup runs ever, beating Anorthosis, Panathinaikos, Sigma Olomouc, Benfica and PSG before destroying Borussia Dortmund 6–1 on aggregate in the final (3–1 away, 3–0 at home). Baggio was majestic, Möller decisive, and the squad’s depth overwhelming. The UEFA Cup triumph saved the season and remains one of Juve’s iconic European campaigns.

Juventus’ 1993–94 season under Giovanni Trapattoni was solid, competitive, but ultimately overshadowed by AC Milan’s dominance. In Europe, Juventus reached the UEFA Cup quarter‑finals, eliminating Lokomotiv Moscow and Tenerife before falling to Cagliari in a shock upset. Their Coppa Italia run ended early. The season is remembered for Baggio’s leadership, the emergence of young talents like Angelo Di Livio, and Juve’s status as Italy’s strongest side not named Milan during this period.
