Newell's Old Boys is one of the better known clubs in Argentina. It is the club where both Lionel Messi and Diego Maradonna played. The club was provided with cool Jerseys by German Adidas from 1979 to 1999. The early 90s were a successful period for the club, celebrating championships in 1990 and 1992, and in 1992 the club won the Copa Libertadores for the second time in its history.
