The 1997/98 season for Calcio Padova, an Italian football club, was a challenging one. Competing in Serie B, the team finished in 19th place, which led to their relegation to Serie C1. The season started with Giuseppe Pillon as coach, but after a poor run of results, he was replaced by Mario Colautti. Despite some promising moments, the team struggled throughout the season, including an early elimination in the Coppa Italia.
